The Employee Prize
Koepel Eindelijk / Avalon - Buggenhout
Therapeutic kitchen project
The Proximus Employee Award 2003 goes to the Koepel Eindelijk/Avalon association whose project Proximus employees voted for. This project aims to install a therapeutic kitchen and was entered by Lieven Vertongen, a Proximus collaborator in partnership with the association.
Koepel Eindelijk and Avalon, active in Buggenhout in the region of Antwerp, organises weekly cooking workshops for people with non-congenital brain disease. These activities are not a cure but they offer numerous therapeutic advantages on a mobility, neuropsychological and psychological level. The organisation would like to install a tailor-made kitchen that meets therapeutic and practical needs.
The current kitchen was put in place with second-hand bits and pieces. In addition to financial help for the installation of a new kitchen, Lieven Vertongen will be entitled to take 12 working days off to help with the realisation of this project.
