AREAM, association pour la recherche, l'enseignement et les applications de la musicothérapie en Belgique francophone - Bruxelles
Therapeutic music workshops for disabled children.
The
association specialises in music therapy training (seminars, work
experience, ongoing training) and through its music therapy centre, it
also organises educational, creative and therapeutic music
workshops/music sessions. The organisation is looking to organise a
series of music workshops for children experiencing neuro-psychic
development problems (+/- 20 sessions for a dozen children). This
involves giving these children tools that will make verbal and
non-verbal communication easier, as well as facilitate their
relationship with others and the expression of their personality.
Partnerships exist with the Anne Misonne school (which positions its
activities between traditional teaching and special needs learning) and
the parents’ association at the school.

Cancer et Psychologie - Woluwe-Saint-Pierre
Helping children and adolescents on the margins of social groups following the death of a parent.
Cancer et Psychologie is a non-profit organisation which helps to support people confronted with a serious illness or bereavement. The children and adolescents often need assistance from the outside to help them come out of isolation and social exclusion. Some of them also need to get away from victimisation. Activities take the form of workshops in small groups (5-6 children or adolescents). This project is already well underway, but requires additional funding to the subsidies currently received so that it can be conducted on an ongoing basis.
